Abstract:Single crystals of strontium chloride added with Nicotinic acid were grown from aqueous solution by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystals are characterized by using single crystal XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, optical transmission, mechanical and photoluminescence spectral studies. As a result Single crystal XRD studies exposed that the crystal belongs to tetragonal system. The FTIR studies help to identify the functional groups which are present in the crystals.
