Abstract:Understanding the growth patterns and the age composition of Squalus acanthias (piked dogfish) populations, from Romanian marine area, helps to elaborate sustainable fisheries management practices because changes in population parameters could indicate shifts in prey availability, habitat quality issues, or fishing pressure.
