This research aims to analyze literature studies and find out the development of research related to the relationship between the economy and the Islamic financial industry with the concept of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by reviewing 80 documents for the 2010-2021 period consisting of journals, book chapters, conference papers, and reviews on the Scopus database. This research uses text analysis method using R-studio and biblioshiny software. The result of this research is to analyze the keywords that often appear in this topic, and provide an overview of the most relevant word analysis, word treeMap, co-occurrence network, thematic map, and conceptual structure. The purpose of this study is expected to be useful for future researchers to obtain an overview and scope of the literature, as well as help them know about the development of research and explore further research related to this topic. Islamic finance has the potential to bring in addition to resource mobilization efforts at the global, local, and national levels in order to realize the SDGs. They assure that Islamic finance encourages investment and trade to achieve progress in development and prosperity.

Research Path on Indonesia Shariah Stock Index Literatures

Indonesia Shariah stock index provide screening criteria for Shariah-compliant stocks, and investors interested in Shariah-compliant investments can use these criteria to select stocks themselves or invest in Shariah-compliant funds that adhere to these principles. This study tries to map research related to Indonesia sharia stock index using a bibliometric approach. This research discusses "Indonesia Sharia Stock Index" by utilizing 500 publications of journal articles indexed in Dimensions. In the development of research related to "Indonesia Sharia Stock Index" based on bibliometric keyword mapping, it is divided into 3 clusters with the most used words being exchange rate, stock price, and covid. The findings of bibliometric analysis studies demonstrate that financial performance, as well as micro and macroeconomic factors, have a considerable direct and indirect impact on ISSI variations.

Ranking and rating halal-certified restaurants in Malaysia: an application of AHP

Purpose The purpose of the study is to measure the performance level of halal compliance practices by the halal-certified restaurants in Malaysia and rank and rate them based on several dimensions of halal compliance. Design/methodology/approach A total of 320 halal restaurants were surveyed. The absolute measurement approach of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was applied to rank and rate the restaurants. Finally, ANOVA and independent t-test were applied to assess if there is any significant difference in halal compliance performance between different groups of the respondents. Findings The AHP application resulted in only 19 restaurants (5.94%) achieving an “Excellent” rating. A significant difference has been observed between different groups of the respondents regarding their halal compliance performance. Research limitations/implications An onsite audit and ranking of all the restaurants in Malaysia were beyond the scope of the study. The research was able to rank only 320 restaurants across Malaysia. Practical implications The findings and methodology of the study will provide policymakers with a clear roadmap for establishing a comprehensive rating system in the fields of the halal food industry to enhance the quality and integrity of the halal food management system. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first time an empirical approach, like AHP, has been used to determine how Malaysia’s halal-certified restaurants stack up against one another. Similar studies can be carried out in other sectors of the halal industry as well as in similar context.
