Hamiltonian formulation for the positron trapping model: An extended treatment

ricevuto il 50ttobre 1992; approvato il 30 Marzo 1993) Summary. --An extended treatment for the analysis of the two-state positron trapping model employing the Hamiltonian formulation is developed, the case of more than one kind of defects being also valid. The formalism is applied when the initial positron population decays into three states: bulk, vacancy-type defects and another kind of defects as vacancy clusters, dislocations or jogs. This description is consistent with common trapping-model results available but, in particular, Hamilton's formalism gives a basis for the extraction of physical information from the non-stationary components of the solutions.
