Abstract:ABSTRACT:Hamman's syndrome is a rare entity, also known as Macklin's syndrome, a syndrome of spontaneous subcutaneous emphysema and pneumomediastinum. We report an unusual case of a young female patient presenting with breathlessness and chest pain of sudden onset, gradually progressive in nature and with history of bronchial asthma for last 8 years, along with other investigations. Chest x ray and computerized tomography was and later diagnosed as Hamman's syndrome.
