This study characterises some aspects of foliar anatomy of cork oak micropropagated plantlets, and rates of water loss by different types of leaves during the acclimatization period. Water loss from leaves of in vitro cultured plantlets was much higher than that of acclimatized plants or seedlings. Leaves from in vitro plantlets lost 53% of their water within the first 30 min under water stress conditions, while leaves from acclimatized plants lost 14%. Leaves of in vitro grown plants presented open stomata and collapsed guard cells, while acclimatized leaves presented closed stomata. Shade-leaf structure was observed in transverse sections of in vitro leaves, with large intercellular air spaces and a low mesophyll cell density, but with a differentiated palisade cell layer. Leaves from acclimatized plants showed a sun-leaf structure with small intercellular air spaces, high cell density and two or three palisade cell layers. During acclimatization leaf thickness increased, as well as cell compactness and differentiation. Stomatal density, stomatal aperture and guard cell protuberance decreased during the acclimatization period, while trichome density increased.

RESUMO -(Inter-relações entre a anatomia vegetal e a produção vegetal). É realizada uma revisão de literatura que procura aproximar a anatomia vegetal do contexto da produção vegetal. O principal objetivo é o de contribuir para que o professor de Botânica possa proporcionar aos alunos dos cursos de Agronomia compreensão da diversidade da organização estrutural do vegetal.Palavras-chave: anatomia vegetal, ensino de botânica, produção vegetal, agronomia ABSTRACT -(Interrelations between plant anatomy and plant production). A literature revision is accomplished to approach the plant anatomy within the context of the plant production. As práticas agriculturáveis exigem uma atenção especial na relação dos diferentes vegetais com os diversos manejos pois, o corpo do vegetal está dinamicamente relacionado com essas práticas.Os materiais bibliográficos encontram-se pulverizados nas diferentes áreas de pesquisa em Fitotecnia e Botânica Aplicada e isso dificulta o trabalho do professor de Morfologia Vegetal cujo tempo é limitado para a pesquisa de conteúdos significativos à formação do Agrônomo.É importante destacar a contribuição do Brasil na pesquisa aplicada de Botânica, embora ainda incipiente, apresenta dados muito interessantes, que poderão ser observados no decorrer desta revisão.Evidentemente, este estudo não dá conta de todas as inter-relações e, portanto, priorizou-se algumas relações da organização estrutural dos vegetais com microrganismos e herbívoros e com algumas condições e substâncias oferecidas em experimentos agronômicos.Este trabalho consta de uma revisão de literatura com o objetivo principal de auxiliar professores de Botânica na contextualização de conteúdos. A importância da anatomia vegetal no contexto da produção vegetalA expressão da organização estrutural dos vegetais na Fitotecnia é ampla e distribuída nas várias áreas de estudo da mesma. Algumas áreas expressam mais informações sobre o comportamento do corpo vegetal. São muitos os estudos que tratam da resistência estrutural dos vegetais aos microrganismos e insetos, sendo os mais significativos em números. Isso acontece porque há supervalorização das práticas monoculturáveis onde ocorrem excessiva reprodução de determinados microrganismos e animais herbívoros que causam danos às culturas. Ou seja, nas monoculturas não há diversidade vegetal, conseqüentemente, não há diversidade animal. É comum o uso de agrotóxicos para resolver esses problemas, contudo as pesquisas sobre resistência estrutural vêm justamente revelar aspectos muito interessantes que colaboram com a possibilidade de

This study was carried out treatment of polyethylene glycol (PEG) in order to increase of survival rate of acclimated plants of strawberry's in vitro plantlets through bioreactor culture. We used PEG with molecular weight 6000 (PEG 6000) in this study. Concentration of PEG is non-treatment, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g･L -1 each bioreactor. 5 g･L -1 of PEG was treated at 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th , and 5 th week during culture. We investigated growth characteristics of in vitro plantlets after 6 weeks cultivation. Growth amount of all PEG treatment decreased as compared to non-treatment. The more concentration increased, the more plant growth decreased. In 5 g･L -1 of PEG, shoot length was shorter than non-treatment that shoot length was 7.9 cm and especially fresh weight that is 1.6 g was more decrease than non-treatment. Shoot length was ranged 3.0-3.9 cm at 1 st week treatment to 4 th week treatment of 5 g･L -1 PEG. The shoot length was not significant by 5.3 cm at 5 th week treatment. The survival rate was improved 5.4% at the treatment of 4 th week and was improved 8.7% at the 5 th week as compared to non-treatment. In order to improve of survival rate of strawberry' in vitro plantlets through bioreactor culture, the method is suitable that adding 5 g･L -1 of PEG in the medium and 5 th week's treatment is suitable.
