Abstract:The temperature dependences of both heat capacity and thermal conductivity in nano-lamellar Cr 2 AlC single crystals are measured using modulated photothermal radiometry and compared to first-principles calculations. The electronic contribution to the thermal conductivity of Cr 2 AlC single crystals is computed ab initio by determining the electronic transport coefficients using density functional theory and by solving the Bloch-Boltzmann transport equation with a temperaturedependent relaxation time. The latt… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
