Heating a 2D Thermoelastic Half-Space Induced by Volumetric Absorption of a Laser Radiation

Abstract: In this work, the generalized theory with dual-phase-lag of thermoelasticity is employed to study the influences induced by absorbing a penetrating laser radiation inside a 2D thermoelastic semi-infinite medium. The medium’s surface is presumed to be exposed to temperature-dependent heat losses and is traction-free.
