Abstract:Human granulocytic anaplasmosis and Lyme disease are tick-borne infections transmitted by the same vector, Ixodes scapularis, commonly isolated in areas within the Midwest region of the United States. Although typically associated with mild symptoms, both can progress to severe disease.
