Abstract:RATIONALE: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is an autosomal dominant disease caused by the lack of or a dysfunctional C1-inhibitor protein, affecting the skin, mucosal tissues of the upper respiratory tract and gastrointestinal (GI)tract.
