“…In the Raman spectrum of 1a, the symmetric Sn-S t stretching vibration is located at about 374 cm À 1 and the resonance at 364 cm À 1 may be caused by a symmetric Sn-S bridging mode [25]. In the Raman spectrum of 2a, the resonance of the symmetric Sn-S(2) t stretching mode is located at 380 cm À 1 , and the resonance for the Sn-S(1) t vibration is found at about 368 cm À 1 [26]. The splitting of Sn-S t resonance for the [Sn 2 S 6 ] 4 À ligand is also observed in the complex [{Co(tren)} 2 (Sn 2 S 6 )] containing a μ-Sn 2 S 6 ligand [8].…”

“…The Sn-S br vibration occurs at a lower wave number of 345 cm À 1 , whereas the Sn 2 S 2 ring vibration appears at 287 cm À 1 . Below 200 cm À 1 , a detailed assignment of the absorptions is not possible because lattice vibrations overlap with SnS 2 wagging and twisting modes [25][26][27].…”

“…An asymmetric stretching vibration occurs at 364 cm −1 for 1 and at 378 cm −1 for 2, and the symmetric stretching modes of the equatorial SnS 3 unit at 340 and 346 cm −1 , respectively. The signals at 278 and 281 cm −1 are assigned to the symmetric stretching vibration of the Sn 2 S 2 ring [35,60].…”
