Abstract:Anti-synthetase syndrome (ASS) is a rare autoimmune disease whose hallmark consists of the presence of autoantibodies directed against aminoacyl transfer RNA (tRNA) synthetases thus making it a distinctive pathology of the broad spectrum of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM).
