“…Alternatively, tetran-butyl titanate (Ti(C 4 H 9 O) 4 ) can be used, 23,25,26 a material which is also flammable and in addition, corrosive and toxic. Only few reports can be found in the literature about coating electrospun nanofibers with TiO 2 nanoparticles; [28][29][30][31] however, immobilization of the TiO 2 particles on the nanofiber surface is not easy.…”

“…Obviously, these peaks were not observed in pristine PAN NFs. The peaks related with nitrogen such as C―N stretching, N―H stretching, and C ≡ N peaks appeared at 1454, 1651, and 2243 cm −1 , respectively . These peaks either decreased or disappeared as the calcination temperature increased to 800°C as shown Figure B.…”

“…The SiO 2 nanoparticles on nanofibers provide a facile way to construct hierarchical‐structured membranes. The protuberance formed by the SiO 2 nanoparticles on the surfaces of nanofibers could not only enhance the surface roughness but also increase the effective surface area of membranes . Adding nano‐SiO 2 particles into PET‐TFA/DCM solution can produce new properties under certain conditions without destroying the bulk properties of the polymer.…”
