Abstract:This paper describes the use of a new resonator using a hybrid Bragg mode (HBM) with azimuthal variations greater than zero. Usually Bragg modes require a pure Transverse Electric mode with no azimuthal variations and only electric field component, E θ. The mode is both Bragg-like, (E r is tangential to all dielectric boundaries) and also whispering gallery-like, (possesses azimuthal variations). This new dielectric resonator has superior performance with respect to typical dielectric resonators at room temper… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
