High-efficient transgenic hairy roots induction in chicory: re-dawn of a traditional herb

Abstract: <p>Plant roots can be manipulated by <em>Agrobacterium rhizogenes</em> to stimulate the production of heterologous proteins for pharmaceutical applications as green cell-factories.
