Abstract:The paper considers methods of heavy particle cooling for
high energy colliders in the energy range of the RHIC-based
ep-collider. There are two major methods of the cooling — the
electron cooling and stochastic cooling. The latter can be
additionally separated on the microwave stochastic cooling, the
optical stochastic cooling (OSC) and the coherent electron cooling
(CEC). OSC and CEC are essentially extensions of microwave
stochastic cooling operating in 1–10 GHz frequency range to the
optica… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
