High momentum dispersion-low beta matched insertion.

Abstract: The general difficulties connected with the design of a matched insertion which has a free straight section with high X and low 0 H are discussed. A practical resolution of these problems is provided. A specific example of a matched symmetric insertion is presented. Some general aspects related to storage ring design are also considered. * Work performed under the auspices of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
