Abstract:Most patients with malignant obstructive jaundice present to the hospital in an advanced unresectable stage. Percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) and stenting are the established , safe and effective way of palliative treatment aiming prolongation and improving the quality of the life.
