Abstract:Supercontinuum (SC) sources have extensive applications in tomography, spectroscopy, and communications. Numerous applications, including ultrahigh-resolution optical coherence tomography, free-space broad-spectrum optical communication, high-speed imaging, spectroelectrochemical ellipsometry, and spectral sensitivity evaluation are based on SC. SC generation in optical fibers could be easily observed in the anomalous dispersion region near 1.5 μm. Indeed, in the normal dispersion region, the modulation instab… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
