High Pressure Studies on Excited Intramolecular Charge-Transfer Reactions and Solvation Dynamics.

Abstract: The effect of solvent relaxation on the intramolecular charge-transfer (ICI) reactions in the excited state has been studied in alcohol solvents by high pressure method. To get insight into the solvent relaxation dynamics, the time-dependent fluorescence Stokes shift of coumarin 153 was measured at high pressures.
