High-repetition-rate optical pulses generation using a phase-modulator-based optoelectronic oscillator

Abstract: An optical pulse generator based on an optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) using a phase-modulator is demonstrated. Optical pulses with a full width at half maximum of 7.34 ps at 10 GHz repetition rate are generated.
