High-risk labour

Abstract: The principles of high-risk labour and the midwifery management are discussed in this chapter. The care of women encountering difficult births is a theme throughout. Issues, such as induction of labour, vaginal birth after a Caesarean section, and instrumental birth, are discussed step by step. New and updated evidence has been used to inform the reader’s practice.
