Abstract:Using first-principles calculations in combination with the Eliashberg formalism, we systematically investigated phonon-mediated superconductivity in two-dimensional (2D) metal-boride crystals, consisting of a boron honeycomb network doped by diverse metal elements. Such 2D metal-boride compounds, named MBenes, are chemically exfoliable from single-crystalline layered ternary borides (MAB phases). First we identified the MBene layers with potential for superconductivity via isotropic Eliashberg calculations, c… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
