High throughput circRNAs sequencing profile of follicle fluid exosomes of polycystic ovary syndrome patients

Abstract: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most prevalent reproductive disorders in women worldwide. Despite rigorous research, the exact molecular mechanism that governs PCOS pathogenesis remains unclear. To investigate the potential roles of circular RNAs (circRNAs), this study sequenced ribosomal RNA‐depleted total RNA from exosomes of follicle fluids obtained from PCOS patients using non‐PCOS samples as controls. Bioinformatic analysis identified 167 upregulated and 245 downregulated circRNAs from a to… Show more

“…Exosomal circRNAs promote cancer progression. circRNAs in exosomes derived from patients with multiple tumours are distinct from those of healthy individuals (88), indicating that they may have great clinical significances and research value. A number of studies have investigated the mechanism by which exosomal circRNAs function in cancer development.…”

“…The sequencing results were further verified by constructing the circRNA-miRNA network. Moreover, circRNA_103827 predicted the pregnancy outcome after assisted reproductive technology, indicating its potential as a new biomarker for predicting the outcome of in vitro fertilization embryo transfer [ 80 ].…”
