Abstract:The presence of the intrinsic fields in two-dimensional (2D) materials holds promise for photocatalysts, as it diminishes the band gap requirements of 1.23 eV and accelerates the separation of the photogenerated carriers. Inspired by the extensive application in MA 2 X 4 families, we predict Janus ZMXAY derived from MA 2 X 4 materials to introduce intrinsic fields suitable for photocatalysts from 512 candidates. These monolayers also exhibit high mobilities up to ∼10 4 cm 2 V −1 s −1 with strong anisotropy, an… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
