Abstract:Background: Chronic suppurative otitis media (CSOM) is a persistent inflammatory disease of the middle ear and mastoid cavity caused by pathogenic infection. CSOM has a fairly high incidence in developing countries and is the main cause of acquired hearing loss in children.
