Abstract:SynopsisMagnesium aluminum alkyls containing higher (C,-C,,,) radicals were studied as components of Ziegler-Natta catalysts in styrene polymerization. The effects of alkyl radical length and MgR, contents in the components mentioned on the degree of TiCl, reduction and stereospecific activity of the catalysts were investigated. The components studied exhibited high reducing (for TiCl, ) and catalytic activities. Molecular weight of the synthesized isotactic polystyrene was abnormally high.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
