“…Compound 2 is a three‐dimensional coordination polymer with lozenge framework along the crystallographic c axis (Figures a and S3a in the SI) and has secondary straight chain Tl···Tl metallophilic interactions (Table ) with distance of 3.76 Å which is lower than the sum of the vander Waals radii of two Tl atoms (4.40 Å, Figures b and S3b in the SI). Against to those observed in thallium(I) compounds, in compound 2 , the lone pair of Tl(I) is ‘inactive’ in the solid‐state and the arrangement of O‐atoms do not suggest a gap or hole in coordination geometry around the Tl(I) coordination sphere (Figure S2b in the SI). Our search also shows that Tl in compound 2 does not involve in Tl···C and Tl···H interactions.…”
