Abstract:Abstract. High resolution detectors able to identify background events are very appealing in the study of rare nuclear processes. Scintillating bolometers featuring simultaneous read-out of heat and scintillation signals, can e↵ectively address this problem thanks to the possibility to discriminate di↵erent ionizing particles and achieve background free experiments. With this technique it has already been possible to measure rare alpha decays never observed before or improve by orders of magnitude the existing… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
