Abstract:Background: Hirschsprung disease is a developmental disorder characterized by the absence of ganglia in the distal colon, resulting in a functional obstruction. Hirsch sprung disease is common in the paediatric age group (neonatal period). They represent worldwide 1/1500-1/7000 newborn. The male: female ratio is 4:1.
