Histoplasmosis: A case report

Abstract: Histoplasmosis is common in certain regions of America, Asia and Africa. Cutaneous manifestation of Histoplasma capsulatum shows a wide spectrum of lesions. Histopathology plays a very important role in the detection and confirmation of diagnosis. Special fungus stains such as GMS (Gomori’s methenamine silver stain) and PAS (Periodic acid Schiff) stains can be used for its study.
