Abstract:According to the gauge-gravity duality, we systematically study the Schwinger effect and electric instability with anisotropy in a top-down approach. The anisotropic black brane and bubble (soliton) background in IIB supergravity are employed and the dual theory in these backgrounds is expected to be anisotropic theory at finite temperature and anisotropic theory with confinement respectively. Then performing the potential analysis, we find due to the anisotropy, the potential barrier behaves oppositely with p… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
