Abstract:Thirteen identified and 12 unidentified gall-inducing species of Lasioptera are recognized to occur in Japan on 48 plant species/subspecies/varieties belonging to 25 genera of 15 families. Twenty of these 25 species induce galls on stems and the other galls develop on leaf veins or leaf blades. Two plant species and one subspecies were newly found to host Japanese Lasioptera.
