“…In Europe, the urban population has already reached 70% of the total population (United Nations 2018) and improving the quality of life of urban populations is recognized as a priority of urban management policies. Contact with nature and biodiversity is essential to the wellbeing of urban residents (Aerts et al 2018;Alberti 2015;Cox et al 2017;Fischer et al 2018;Puppim de Oliveira et al 2011), and urban biodiversity is often used to determine the attractiveness of cities worldwide (Mondal and Das 2018;Romão et al 2018).…”

“…The advancement in the economy and technological dependence has led to the increasing demand for urban residential area in various countries around the world. Various serious issues have been raised due to the rapid increase in the urbanization rate such as air pollution, imbalanced land-use structure, lack of traffic management, and many more [1,2]. This situation has raised the social economic burden on the management and environment for optimization of urban residential land, requiring the help of various urban planning agencies.…”

“…Therefore, the implementation of local-specific policies about industrial land price is of great significance to improve land use efficiency and boost the development of the regional economy [3,22]. As the basis for policy-making, it is critical to have the knowledge of the spatio-temporal connections of industrial land price in different cities and effects of driving forces [23][24][25].…”

“…Recently, the GWR model has been extensively employed in different fields for investigating local effects instead of global effects of impact factors. Compared with the other universal spatial data approaches, like regression kriging, OLS (ordinary least squares) regression, or cokriging, the GWR model showed its advantages in improving the mapping feature or finding out local spatial variation [16,25,[33][34][35][36][37][38]. In this study, GWR was employed to study the spatial variability of industrial land price and its relationships with the main impact factors in the major cities of China, which may provide valuable insights into the spatio-temporal variation mechanism of industrial land price and serve the policy making on scientific industry development in China.…”
