Abstract:Mitral valve translocation (MVT) is a novel procedure that was developed to treat patients with severe, symptomatic, secondary mitral regurgitation (MR). MVT enhances leaflet coaptation by insertion of an autologous pericardial patch interposed between the mitral annulus and the native mitral leaflets.
