Human epicardial adipose tissue induces fibrosis of the atrial myocardium through the secretion of adipo-fibrokines

Abstract: This study provides the first evidence that the secretome from EAT promotes myocardial fibrosis through the secretion of adipo-fibrokines such as Activin A.
