Abstract:Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic disabling rheumatic disease with indefinite etiology. Human leukocyte antigen-B27 (HLA-B27) carriage and Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) infections may contribute to the etiopathogenesis of AS.
