Human leukocyte antigen – B27 and antibodies to Klebsiella pneumoniae in Ankylosing Spondylitis: associations and clinical outcome

Abstract: Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic disabling rheumatic disease with indefinite etiology. Human leukocyte antigen-B27 (HLA-B27) carriage and Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) infections may contribute to the etiopathogenesis of AS.
