Hybrid Material Synthesis Based on Polymer Photonic Crystals Core and Magnetite Particles Shell

Abstract: Summary: A hybrid material with core-shell structure based on polymer photonic crystals (PPCs) core and magnetite particles shell (Fe 3 O 4 ) was obtained. The optical properties of this material were investigated in the presence of an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid (H 2 SO 4 ) confirming an unusual blue-shift of the photonic band-gap (PBG).
