Abstract:In the present study, we consider a submerged composite geometrical shape which contains two cylindrical plates in water of finite depth. The present problem of diffraction by these composite structures approach theoretically under the assumption of linear water wave theory. We use eigenfunction expansion method and separation of variable method to obtain an analytical expression of diffracted velocity potential for each region. The analytical expression also allows us to find the wave forces and overturning m… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
