Hydrothermal Synthesis and Characterization of Sm2O2SO4 Nanoplates

Abstract: Developing a material with a new morphology is very important for improving the functional performance and finding new applications. Monoclinic samarium oxysulfate (Sm2O2SO4) nanoplates were first prepared using a hydrothermal process followed by a post‐annealing treatment of an as‐synthesized Sm2(OH)4SO4·2H2O plate at 450 °C. The fundamental physicochemical properties were examined by scanning electron microscopy, high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy, Rietveld X‐ray diffraction crystallographic da… Show more

“…[27] Additionally, they used dicobalt octacarbonyl and tetracarbonyl dodecacarbonyl within the PKR and exogenous chiral phosphine ligands and obtained excellent yields, though again no enantiomeric excess. They also suggest, similarly to Krafft [28] and Lee, [29] that the Co 4 (CO) 12 may simply be decomposing to the dicobalt complex, with the caveat that the tetra-nuclear complex may be a superior option due to less propensity to be air-oxidized.…”
