Abstract:The hyphomycete spora of the stream in the Rock Garden of the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, was sampled during the winter of 1983/84. Eighteen species were found, the three most common being Anguillospora pseudolongissima, Tetracladium setigerum and Anguillospora longissirna. The spores were most numerous in December and although still present in February and March had decreased quite considerably in number. Comparisons are made between the samples and also with other similar studies conducted elsewhere.
