Abstract

Schi' ner.i.a . N.L. fem. n. Schineria pertaining to Schiner who first described the fly Wohlfahrtia magnifica in 1862. Proteobacteria / Gammaproteobacteria / Xanthomonadales / Xanthomonadaceae / Schineria Gram‐negative nonmotile aerobic rods . Catalase positive. Major fatty acids, C 14:0 , C 16:0 , and C 18:1 . Major polar lipids include phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylserine. The mol % G + C of the DNA is : 42 (HPLC). Type species : Schineria larvae Tóth, Kovács, Schumann, Kovács, Steiner, Halbritter and Máriageti 2001, 406.
