Abstract:Chitin deacetylases (CDAs) are essential enzymes during moulting and play vital roles in the formation and modification of chitin. Five chitin deacetylase genes were first identified and characterized in the Chinese mitten crab, Eriocheir sinensis. The spatiotemporal expression profiles of the identified CDAs (EsCDAs) have been investigated to reveal their critical functions in moulting of the Chinese mitten crab. Phylogenetic and structural analysis showed that EsCDAs were divided into four of five groups bas… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
