Abstract:Hydrogeochemical processes are the processes that bring seasonal and spatial fluctuations in groundwater chemistry. These include rock-water interactions, ion exchange, evaporation, and other natural processes that affect groundwater as it flows from one location to another or as it remains at one location. Numerous ionic ratios, scatter plots, and diagrams are available for the identification of these processes. Ion exchange is an important contributor to groundwater chemistry and is of two types: direct ion … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
