“…From this scenario, it is worth mentioning that the data found in the study, especially in relation to the immunogen against yellow fever, point to an imminent outbreak of the disease in the state. Bearing in mind that Maranhão comprises an enzootic area of yellow fever in Brazil, that is, they are regions where the disease is naturally maintained in a constant cycle of transmission, due to the existence of primary hosts linked to characteristics of the Amazon biome (Costa et al, 2005., Gomes et al, 2023. Thus, in accordance with the Brazilian children's immunization schedule, it is necessary for children to be vaccinated at 9 months, especially those living in endemic regions of the disease.…”
