Identification of Territorial Spatial Pattern Conflicts in Aksu River Basin, China, from 1990 to 2020

Abstract: The change in land use leads to territorial spatial conflict. Territorial spatial conflicts mainly show that the boundaries of agricultural space, urban space, and ecological space overlap each other and interfere with each other’s functions, which will have a negative impact on regional high-quality development. The Aksu River, the most principal source of the Tarim River, the largest instream river in China, is a key area for maintaining ecological security in Northwestern China. It is highly significant to … Show more

“…Instead, their labor contribution to the national GDP, though no objective study has been conducted on it, can be referred to and may serve as an argument to safeguard their interests and preferences in their original villages by letting them continue their living there or transplanting their vegetable gardens to the new settlements. The national ecological development programs [70][71][72][73] that have contributed to the displacement of ancient villagers, at least in part, have to consider compensatory programs integrated into the new settlement planning movement.…”

“…Accordingly, an overall perspective should be adopted to analyze the relationships and interactions between regional socioeconomics, natural ecology, and water resources within the basin, in addition to exploring the causes of ecological degradation within the area [39][40][41]. To this end, identifying the specific LUCC dynamics and patterns provides the key foundation for strengthening federal scientific supervision, promoting sustainable and socioeconomically beneficial land use, and alleviating human-land conflicts and other ecological issues [42][43][44]. After accounting for the implementation of water delivery and the existing problems in the TRlr, we propose the following suggestions:…”

“…From the perspective of research models, the integrated result–model optimization method has been widely used nowadays. It is primarily manifested in the introduction of “production-life-ecology” into spatial planning and the study of spatial delineation and optimization from the perspective of resource allocation [ 32 ], which has opened a new direction for the development of territorial space. However, the drawback of its excessive subjectivity also needs to be overcome [ 33 ].…”
