Identify and Rank the Challenges of Implementing Sustainable Supply Chain Blockchain Technology Using the Bayesian Best Worst Method

Abstract: Globalization initiated the challenges in Supply Chain (SC) such as management and control. In this situation, Blockchain as a digital distributed ledger can guarantee clarity, tractability, and safety. Many case studies proved that we can use Blockchain Technology (BT) to solve global supply chain problems especially in smart contracts with their potential applications. BT is in its early period and it is hard to find supply chains that have successfully implemented this technology to track their sustainable … Show more

“…Since the BBWM method is a relatively new MCDM method, it has not been applied to many areas in the literature. However, it has been applied to fields such as information technology and management (Liang et al 2022 ; Abkenar et al 2022 ; Mohammadi and Rezaei 2020b ), supply chain, and logistics management (Munim et al 2022 ; Kelly et al 2022 ; Liu et al 2021 ; Li et al 2020 ), transportation (Huang et al 2021 ), disaster management (Yanilmaz et al 2021 ), risk assessment and management (Tusher et al 2022 ; Ak et al 2022 ), manufacturing (Alkan et al 2022 ), water resource management (Dogani et al 2020 ), tourism (Yang et al 2020 ), and education (Gul and Yucesan 2021 ; Hsu et al 2021 ) with the advantage of eliminating information loss in group decision-making. It is used either as singleton or in conjunction with an auxiliary MCDM method in many practical applications.…”

“…Mohammadi and Rezaei ( 2020b ) applied BBWM and an expert-based collective performance evaluator for assessing and comparing ontology alignment systems. Liu et al ( 2021 ) identified and ranked the possible barriers in implementing sustainable supply chain blockchain technology by BBWM. In the same industry, Li et al ( 2020 ) made a competence analysis for Chinese takeaway delivery platforms using singleton BBWM.…”

“…Due to numerous regulating tactics, globalization, and distinct cultural and behavioral traits in this complex network, assessing data and managing risk in SC networks is challenging. Ineffective transactions, pilferage, fraud, and poor SC execution lead to a loss of confidence, which is why SC members require improved data interchange and verifiability [5].…”

“…The present study focuses on identifying essential and influential indicators in the intracity multimodal transport system, establishing linkages between measurement strategies and metrics, and setting some goals (Liu et al, 2021b). To this end, a dynamic model is proposed as an innovative strategy to optimize the time, cost and customer satisfaction in the intra-city multimodal transportation system and maximize service level and thus customer satisfaction (passengers) using all possible approaches.…”
