Identifying & Classifying Potential Post-Market Drug ADEs from Social Media Blogs: A Research Proposal for Detecting ADEs over Users Conversation Networks

Abstract. The availability of various kinds of medical data over the web and the social media and the fast progress of computational methods have opened opportunities for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) study on the post-marketing drug safety. This paper provides a review on the ADRs detection over the social media and present a research proposal for a computation method to identify ADRs from conversation between users over clinical social networks like Patients like Me and Drugs.com and over social blogs like Twitter.
