IDM Benchmarks for the LHC and Future Colliders

Abstract: We present cross-section expectations for various processes and collider options, for benchmark scenarios of the Inert Doublet Model, a Two Higgs Doublet Model with a dark matter candidate. The proposed scenarios are consistent with current dark matter constraints, including the most recent bounds from the XENON1T experiment and relic density, as well as with known collider and low-energy limits. These benchmarks, chosen in earlier work for studies at e+e− colliders, exhibit a variety of kinematic features tha… Show more

“…Two parameters (𝑚 ℎ and 𝑣) are fixed by current measurements. The model is subject to a large number of experimental and theoretical constraints [1][2][3][4]10]. A general feature is a relatively strong degeneracy between the additional masses of the second doublet, as well as a minimal mass scale for the dark matter candidate resulting from a combination of relic density and signal strength measurement constraints (see [1,4] for a detailed discussion).…”

“…In [4], a sensitivity comparison for selected benchmark points [3,4,11] using a simple counting criteria was used, where a benchmark point is considered reachable if at least 1000 signal events are produced using nominal luminosity of the respective collider (c.f. also [12]).…”
