Image quality improvement in computed tomography using anisotropic diffusion

Abstract: This paper presents the effect of noise reduction filter on computed tomography (CT) images. In CT examinations, a high radiation dose results in high-quality images, but unfortunately, as the radiation increases, the associated risk of cancer also increases. Especially in paediatric applications it is essential to maintain low radiation dose.
